INFO

This was a self led project and I started with exploring movement. As I live in a seaside town I decided to look at movement of water, so I took photos and created responses through models and drawings.

I did research into people that worked in a similar way to me, I found out about Den Bla Planet which is the national aquarium of Denmark, which has stunning curves inspired by a whirlpool. I wrote an essay on the aquarium to help me deepen my knowlege within their way of working. The key features they used were: curved geometry, geometric patterns and angular design.

I continued to play with forms that interact/move water.

From the extensive development I created a final design, utilizing the strongest features. After looking at Faltazi’s steel funnel that connects to water tanks I was inspired to create a water collecting structure that can be transferable as a sculpture.
